So, Josiah is potty trained now, but we are still letting him wear a pull-up at bedtime and sometimes for nap. Today, after naptime, he said he needed to use the potty. We have been working on getting him to the point where he can do it independantly, and have been talking about "privacy". He came out after going potty unattended and said, "Mommy!! Guess what I did?! I put my pull-up in the potty and flushed it, and now it's all gone!" Sure enough, next flush, the bathroom was flooded The plumber is coming first thing Monday morning. Thank goodness we have two bathrooms! The plumber is a friend of ours, and he said that he is most likely going to have to dismantle the toilet to get to the pull-up. Guess who isn't getting private time on the potty again any time soon?!

Heehee, it's kinda funny! Sorry this happened though. Makes me feel better about Ella's habit of throwing her brother's underwear in her diaper pail!

I was like "so what's the big deal?" after reading this Cara, then I immediately realized not everyone uses cloth diapers. We often wash Aaron's underwear with our diapers.

Sarah - sorry Josiah flushed his pull up. At least he told you. It's certainly frustrating, but it sounds like he didn't really know that was something that would cause such a big problem.

last year Nate found a piece of the shower head on the back of the toilet (BIL was not diligent about cleaning up after his projects) it was the cap that goes on the wall with the hole where the shower head pipe comes out.

He flushed it. I called a plumber, he was able to worm it out, but just barely, when he tried to get the cap back off the worm we found that the hold was just slightly too small - I have no idea how we managed to snag it...

Kids and the things they flush...

Yay for Josiah being potty trained. Boo for having him flush his pull up. Like the other ladies said, I am glad he told you.

Oh no! At least you knew what the problem was! Leigh and Lucy haven't flushed anything big, but we have to keep the TP away from Ben's reach because he will unravel the entire roll and put it in the toilet. Today he was doing it in a public restroom while I was redressing Lucy (those darn leotards), and patting down the TP as it went in... all the way to the water...

Oh no. that stinks. we had to just call a plumber for one of your tenants. They were flushing regular baby wipes down the toilet and then wanted to know why the sewage was backing up in the kitchen sink. H.E.L.L.O. Hubby told them if it happens again, they are paying for the plumber. I think they should have paid for it the first time!
