What kind of activities do you do through the day to keep your child busy?

We've been "gardening" quite a bit... he has a dirt patch that is all his, and loves to use his shovel and digger cars to "work" in the yard. We also have been kicking the soccer ball, playing frisbee, reading library books, and of course watching the occasional cartoon. We also take a walk almost every day through town, stopping to play at the local toy store along the way.

Lots of gardening here too. And other outdoor activities like riding her scooter or blowing bubbles, but also rock collecting and nature walks. Inside, we do lots of crafts that I prepare (today we are painting a pet rock) or art time - painting and such. We play games, play-doh, dance to music, string beads, read books, cook together.
That's some I can think of right now.

It's been hit or miss going outside for us. We're still kind of in the time of year when indoor activities take up the majority of time, just because of the weather.

We cook/bake a lot. Jonah loves it, and it usually takes up most of the morning/afternoon to make something. We do a lot of crafts too. If they are wiggly then I try to find an active activity with them, like "pool noodles" where they each get a pool noodle (cut in half) and I shout out things to do with it- kind of like simon says. We play music for that. They love it. Lately they have been loving their play kitchen, and having tea parties and picnics, so that has been happening a lot in our house

Playdoh, coloring, board games, cartoons/movies, workbook pages, playing on the swings in our backyard, taking a walk, crafts, watching her put on a show on her "stage".

A lot of the above mentioned things. Coloring, painting, writing letters & words on his dry erase board, looking at flash cards, reading books, playing memory or candyland. He and his sister have a blast playing in their playroom or anywhere really. Building tents. Playing outside, riding bikes, rolling/tossing a ball, playing with his baseball tee set. He also likes helping me clean.
