I just don't see the need to sensationalize something that should be seen as a completely mainstream and legitimate parenting style. And to alienate those who choose to parent differently by implying they are "less of a mother" is horrible. And honestly, I feel sorry for the child whose mother willingly let them be a poster child for extended bf-ing. My personal opinion is that bf-ing is a special relationship between mother and child, and that by throwing her son in the spotlight, she is turning this into something a little less "theirs" and using a minor to make a big statement. I don't agree with putting kids in the spotlight like that.
