I never had to pack lunches for school yet since Natasha's kindergarten was 1/2 day but I will have to once she starts grade one in September! Veronika will be 1/2 day so just snacks for her.
So our lunches don't change since the girls always ate lunch at home. On super hot days, I just try to do lighter things instead of "cooked" lunches, like some light sandwiches with deli meat or cheese and add sliced fruit. Sometimes we even do cereal for lunch with cold milk, the girls love that on hot days. But generally. I run the a/c all the time so it's not super hot inside.
It hasn't changed for Mia but for Alexander it has somewhat. I usually sent him soup or a sandwich, fruit, crackers or chips, and something else like a sweet treat, fruit, or yogurt. We still do the same stuff at home but now it might be something else as the main food like mac & cheese, corn dogs, or chicken nuggets. And I make sure they both have some kind of veggie too.
