Do you read to your LO before bed? Do you do it each night, some nights only, etc.? Who picks the story, you or they?
I read the girls a story every night (some days DH does). They take turns picking a book, unless it's a book that has multiple stories, and then we just read them in order. The only nights we skip is if we got home super late for some reason or if they've been naughty, etc. but that rarely happens that we skip!
My kids are the same way - they want ME to put them to bed, not daddy, unless I'm out (or hidden in our bedroom with the door closed, asleep). I used to read to the boys together, alternating who picks, but lately Eric has preferred to go to bed and read for himself a bit. I still read to Danny, and once in a while I pick, but usually he does...and he always picks the same book, lol.
This will make me sound terrible but I rarely read to Mia before bedtime. Instead she asks me to sing to her or there is a story I made up about a kitten and a princess that she likes me to tell her. And if I dare accidentally skip a part of the story she lets me know about it, LOL.
