That sounds like a steal how many bedrooms bathrooms do you have? I swear rent is more expensive than just owning a darn house!
Our rent right now is $800 a month for a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom tiny house the new house will e $1050 a month for 5 bedrooms/2bathrooms + garage still not huge (the rooms are smaller rooms) but thats okay!
We have like 2 1/2 bedrooms....one big room upstairs that kind of divided. And we just have one bathroom. It's 1000 SF total, which is tiny for us. I would love to move, but I love our payment. Someday, we will either have to move, or add on. Oh, and we have no garage. So, there are definite disadvantages. I bought this house, pre-Geoff and pre-children.
Lisa, basically right now where we are living is the same. We do have "3" bedrooms but its so hot in the upstairs (its like a converted attic or something its huge and legal bedroom just hot) that we can't use it even with AC its miserable up there. I totally hear ya about the nice payment we don't really NEED to spend $300 more a month but the room sure is nicer.
Heather I totally hear ya that sounds like some of the really newere areas where Cade is going to go to school (where we would reallly like to move) but to get a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom in a 10-15 year old neighborhood is like $1500-$1800 a month. We could do it but eek.
Holy crap Tammy are things really expesnive there. Do the neihgbors bug you at all are they downstairs/upstairs or side by side?
Mandy...we live on the 2nd floor...our 1st floor neighbors are my parents! YES NJ is soooooo expensive. We are hoping to buy a house in the next year or 2 now that the prices of homes have dropped some!
We live in a mobile home park. Tomorrow I'll write a $333 check for lot rent. That includes water though. Lot rent it's self is $290 (holy crap we used a lot of water last month!!!)
We owe a mortgage on our trailer but she works with us. Originally we paid $214/month but she let us cut it in half to $107 and even then we only paid when we could (and she was fine with it). Though at tax time we gave her a lump payment that makes us not have to make another payment til June 2013.
