LMAO you'll have to buy up all the chicken and milk that you can before you get here. Chicken is 6.99/lbs and Milk is 7.5/gallon (ish) and gas is retardedly expensive...lol 1.28/liter which works out to over 5/gallon...but you are more then welcome here! lol

$7.25/hour here in Hawaii according to google. The sad thing about that is that milk here is also at least 5.99/gal (and that's in the military commissary, I have seen it as high as 7.50/gal in civilian stores, and I have no idea what the price of chicken is. I am paying 4.22/gal in gas on base though (again I have no idea what it is off base, I am scared to look).

My hubby just spent 8 weeks in Hawaii on an exercise (well in July) I was SOOOOO SSSSSOOOO Jealous!!!! I so wish I could have gotten to go. He's military and he said the cost of things there was quite expensive, both Gas and beer (that's what he spent his money on. lol)

I don't even know anyone that earns that little though! I earn $27 and hour and DH earns between $30-$50 an hour, depending if he's away at the time.

Rikki-Lee, what is the cost of living there though? Is the money equal to American money? If so, we will be neighbors!!

Minimum wage is 7.25 an hour here. Thank GOD that I make more than that. I have no idea how people survive on such a small salary.

Our dollars are pretty equal these days. Our cost of living is a bit higher i think though. For example, to buy a decent house in Australia (well in Perth anyways), you wouldn't get anything under $300,000. And our petrol prices are insane. $1.45 per litre. Not sure what that works out to your gallons etc. But food, milk, etc are probably around the same prices.

Rikki-Lee it seems like your cost of living and the cost of living here in Canada are similar. IF you didn't have so many poisionous spiders/bugs/other things I'd be moving in as your neighbour....I would even do an exchange...You can come live in Canada in the snow and I'll take an Austraila Winter any day!

Haha I HATE spiders and snakes and bugs! I very rarely see any, so it's not too bad....just gotta be careful where you go
A swap would be awesome! Although you would have to experience a summer, not winter
