I think I may have found a solution to my job situation and a way to get some cool maternity photos at the same time! I haven't modeled in a while, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to put in an application since I have the experience and was able to stay toned through pregnancy last time. I sent an e-mail to the casting director at Expecting Models (the biggest and best pregnancy modeling agency) and within about 2 hours, I received a response saying they are interested in representing me!!! I am so excited!!! There are still a few hurdles to jump, of course. There is a chance they won't be interested after meeting me in person, but I think I should be ok as long as I do the necessary preparation. Also, being represented isn't a guarantee that I will get enough bookings to make a living. Honestly, I don't really know how much the average pregnancy model makes. Even if I just get 1 booking though, that would be one awesome photo for the baby book!
I think this is exactly what I needed. I don't want to get my hopes up or count my chickens before they hatch but this would be the perfect solution. I would have a job where I don't have to worry about my boss getting mad about me being pregnant. I could make money doing something I am good at but still have tons of free time to be home with London for much of the time. I really hope this works out, I'm so excited!
Good luck! When is your meeting with the agency? KUP.
Wednesday at noon!
I am excited but a bit nervous. I have a breakout on my forehead right now and I'm not allowed to use any of my normal products so I'm trying to use Lush products to fix my face. I love Lush, but my face is stubborn. I'm hoping it goes away enough that I can at least cover it with makeup by Wednesday. Also, I'm not allowed to use whitestrips (standard protocol I use for a modeling event) so I am going to try baking soda and lemon juice. We'll see...
On another semi-related note, I can see the very beginning of baby bump already! I have a feeling that I'll be showing earlier this time, which is good if I end up doing this modeling!
