What did you do with your wedding dress? What about everything else for the wedding.
Right after my wedding, I had it preserved and put in boxes which now just sit in my closet. I’m thinking about turning it into something… not sure what yet… I would rather have a nice pillow or blanket instead leaving it in the closet.
I have all my stuff from the wedding in boxes in the closet with my dress. I haven’t opened these boxes since the wedding day. I’m think I want to create something nice with it all.
Mine hung in my sister's closet for a long time then my mom finally had it cleaned and put in a box. It's in her closet now. lol! Most of the other stuff is scattered to the wind... We didn't have a ton of decor anyway.
mine is hanging in a garment bag in my basement, I actually tried it on a few months ago I wanted to see if it still fit, it does woot loll....my DH and I ran away to an island and got married so all I have is the dress nothing else! Well maybe a pair of white beaded flip flops somewhere but I haven't a clue where they are!
Mines in a garment bag in the back of a closet. I keep one keepsake box with a few souvenirs, like our cake knife, an invitation, place cards, etc.. It's still packed in a box somewhere from when we moved.
Do you think it is crazy to want to turn your wedding dress into something nice? I'm not sure what I really want to do yet. It will not not fit me right now so wearing it again, itsn't an option. My coworker, who is male think I am crazy and wouldn't want his wife to change her wedding dress into anything?
I think it's cool to turn it into something else. Realistically not too many people can still fit into their dress, and it probably won't be worn by a daughter or future daughter-in-law because styles change.
Mine is preserved in a box in my cedar closet. I probably could have worn it again before I got pregnant. I think I was skinnier last summer than when I got married. I seriously doubt my girls will want to wear it, but it might be cool to turn it into a hanky for them to carry on their wedding day
