I am so scared that I am having twins and I hope I am just crazy!! Here are the many reasons why:

It's my generation to have them in my family (mom AND dads side)
I took Clomid
I felt serious ovulation pains on both ovaries on different days before Oing
I got a positive test at 7dpo
My lower back has been killing me since... I swear... 4dpo (I really blamed the Clomid)
My boobs are already swollen and are killing me
I started getting nausea the day before yesterday and never had it with my other 2 pregnancies

Is anyone else fearing (or even hoping for) twins?

I am fearing it a little because someone on the TTC#1 board mentioned it might be possible with how dark my BFPs were.
Oh and I am or have experienced most of what you described symptom-wise.

Oh no Christy...you husband would totally die

My doctor was a bit worried that I could be carrying twins when I was pregnant with Alyssa only because my symptoms with Alyssa were more intense then with any of my other pregnancies. Thankfully I only had one little one in there.

Geez...sure, have more babies so I have more to watch when I move to KY

I'm hoping Twins run in my family. I took Clomid to have my son - it's normal to cause all kinds of hormonal side effects, the aches & pains are probably still as much from the Clomid as the pregnancy so I wouldn't read too much into them.

I would love twins, but we only have identical twins in our family which are not genetic. So, the odds of me having twins is pretty low. Plus, I didn't get my BFP until CD38.

I think that it is possible that we could have twins! The way i have been feeling makes me wonder. Although i haven't thrown up yet, the nausea is pretty bad. My bb's are super sore and it is my generation to have twins. This is also my 7th pregnancy and i am 32. I think the odds are better than they were before but who knows. I hope it is twins, that would be awesome considering this will be our last. On the not running in the family thing...my friend decided to try for her second baby. Twins do not run in her family at all but she ended up having twins, fraternal ones at that and no fertility drugs. She was going to stop at 2 children but got twins the second time around. Interesting stuff.

I think it would be really cool. We do have some twins in my family, so I guess its possible. My symptoms showed up pretty early...3.5 weeks and I tested positive that early too. I used the digital test, so I have no clue about how dark my line would have been. I've considered retesting just for that reason...but I really don't want to spend $$$ on another test. The idea of twins makes me really excited, but it also scares me a bit. Its already a huge life change to go from no babies to one...no babies to two might be a little insane!!! My MIL had twins and when I described the severity of my symptoms to her, she was like....oooohhh, you're gonna have twins!! I think she's just really hoping.

I'm fearing it for my life!!! It runs in my family AND in James' family...scary thing is, my mom's always right about things. Well she says she can't make out what I'm having like she was able to tell I was having a girl right from the beginning with my pregnancy with DD...she says she can't figure it out this time, and she keep seeing a SPLIT...like it's both...boy AND girl. I'm like nooo pleassssee please be wrong.

I'm sorry but I don't want twins, especially with a child already!!

There are 7 sets of twins on my moms side not including my aunt who had twins (but she also had fertlility treatments done too.)
Dh doesn't have any family members that have twins that are blood related to him. I would love twins but I would be a little worried
about being able to bond with 2 infants at the same time. Its hard enough when you have a 1 and a half year old and a baby. I
would be absoueltely estatic if we were having twins. I just hope that I have an extra pair of hands to help me out when dh is working
until I get into the routine.

I'm hoping, wishing and praying!!! i have no medical history from my mothers side as she was adopted so i have no idea if there are twins in the family but my BFP was SUPER dark and i already have my linea negra and everyone keeps telling me that i look like i'm growing already. DH also thinks we are having twins and he has pretty good instincts. (he said i was pregnant two days before i tested). Several other people have mentioned that maybe we are carrying multiples so i guess we'll see. We would both be ecstatic to having twins!

I have thought about this!!!!
My mom is a fraternal twin.
My BFP's were both very dark lines and they came up almost instantly.
My daughter keeps telling me she thinks I'm having twins since I wish them on evertone thats pregnant. My ex mil asked her if I was pg last week cuz my shirt was tight and she said I looked pregnant.I am only 6 weeks!I will be 7 this Wednesday and my appointment is not until Aug 8th! I am going to ask the doctor if there is any way he can tell how many babies I have inside.
