Over the past week or two I've started having problems with being incredibly bloated. I've never had that problem before, but my goodness it's bad. In the morning I have my little 9-week bump, but at night it looks more like a 3-month bump because I get so bloated after I eat. Anybody else have that problem, and what can you do to eliminate or avoid the bloat???

(1st off I have to say it..GO LONG HORNS!!! I love the longhorn..and I LOVE Texas)

OK..I know this might be TMI for some people..BUT are you having any trouble pooping? If you do not go to the bathroom on a regular basis it can for sure cause you to be bloated. Also watch how much salty foods you eat. Make sure you drink water. If you are having problem pooping, buy some Colace. It just makes it easier to go. If you "GO" and its kind of hard then I would get some Colace. (sorry for TMI) Oh, also watch how much "bread" you eat..when I say bread I mean..bread..pasta,crackers..Even popcorn..ect..eating to much will also make you look and feel bloated. Make note of what you have been eating. Drink water to flush out the food you do eat faster so it will not sit on your stomache and eat more samller meals threw out the day. Instead of 3 BIG ones. I hope this helps.

I'm horribly, horribly bloated. I've started to eat smaller amounts more regularly, rather than three big meals a day, and that seems to be helping. I've also decided to stop eating bread (not carbohydrates per se, as I seem fine with jacket potatoes and pasta etc) - I think that bread makes it soooo much worse. DH is also pushing me to try those probiotic yoghurt drink things. I might pick some up today and see how I go. Other than that, I have no idea how to make it better. I'm not even sure whether or not I have the start of a baby bump - this bloating hides everything. And DH really ticked me off last night by saying I already look four months pregnant.

Okay, with that info I guess it's no wonder I'm bloated. I eat LOTS of bread and pasta. Never made me bloated before but now it sure does. And as for the salt, I eat LOTS of salt - salty licorice helps with my nausea so I've been eating a lot of it. Anything salty in general. But I drink soooo much water, too, that I have to pee all the time.

(and about the TMI issue... no real issues there. Seems to help a bit for the time being, but quickly the bloat comes back). Oh well... guess it's just a pregnancy nuissance I'll have to deal with.
