I have to say that although we did quite a bit of sitting, it was a very long day. The class in itself was from 9-5 w/ only a 30 min lunch. To make things worse, DH was suppose to come w/ me but he has been really sick for the past 2 days so I had to go alone. Thank God there was another woman there who was also alone. The really cool thing about it all was that I got to meet 7 other couples that are having twins. Of course, I was the only one in the class to have triplets. Surprise! I did get some good information though so it was worth going. I have a couple of other classes I would like to take. One is Breastfeeding Multiples, the other is Baby Preparation. Well, that is about it for the class! I'm going to catch up!

Well, we really just got a wake up call about all the extras that come w/ having multiples. One suggestion was to have at least 2-3 days worth of bottles so that you don't run out. Do you know how many bottles that is if I am not able to BF? 90 bottles! They also talked to us about how important it was to have scheduled help around the house & not necessarily w/ the babies. I've had many offers to help but didn't realize I should really plan it out like a work schedule or something. They said the areas that you tend to need the most help in are washing bottles & clothes, keeping up w/ the yard, cleaning the house, and running errands such as the grocery store. Other things we learned about were relaxation techniques to help us when we get very uncomfortable b/c of the size we will reach. We learned about quite a few resources here in Houston area such as Moms of Multiples organization & where to get our car seats inspected. They also showed us a video of a vaginal twin birth & of a c-section triplet birth. All very informative!

Oh wow, that is great info and quite a few bottles! Goodness! Yeah Ive heard its imperative to have scheduled help. My good friend has twins and when they were born she also had an 18 month old. She had a c-section and always says if she didnt have someone scheduled to be there all the time the first few months, she would have lost her mind. She also had pretty serious PPD after the twins. And she also said that you would be suprised at the people that offer to help, and not to turn a single one away, LOL! Im sure you will be just fine with all of that, it sounds like you have a wonderful family close by and lots of great resources in your area! YAY!
oh thats so neat! and wow on the bottles! I never thought about all the bottles! as a bottle feeder, let me recommend finding bottles that fit into the dishwasher and one of those little baskets you put the nipples in..... I've hand washed by hand long term (bottles that didn't fit) and I've used the dishwasher and you can guess which is easier! Our dishwasher even has a sani-rinse cycle.
Its so true that even if you just have one baby, people offer to "help" but what they often mean is they want to come over and hold a baby..... not do laundry or other actually helpful things.... a work schedule is a good idea..... three babies.... you're going to be super mom!
I never took any classes before my first, but i wish I had.... it sounds fun....

Yep, there are most definitely a couple of more classes I would like to take before I can't do much. The problem is that time is running out & we are embarking on the holidays which means less classes are being offered at the moment.
I still can't believe the # of bottles. I know that the diapers match that, about 8-10 per day per baby. WHEW!

WOw, that is a lot of bottles!!!! I hope you are able to at least BF part-time, it is a great experience.
I think taking classes early and getting mentally prepared for the future is a great thing.
