DH won't be taking time off (I didn't ask him to) but my mom will be coming in to town to help out for a week or so after the baby.

Jamie'll take off as much as I want him to, which will probably be only a day or two which is what I have had him stay home with the last two kids. My mom will come during the week days for a couple weeks after the baby is born (Jamie's home on weekends). That worked very well when Fritz was born.

well, if brent doesn't get a job working off by then, he'll be around often. his dad owns a fish market in town that he works at when he isn't working away. for dd, he only took off for the time i was in the hospital and a day after we got home so we could adjust. i didn't have extra help then, even though my mom was across the street (and still is even after we moved) and mil was across the yard and now only 5 minutes away. i'm sure it will be the same this go around too, unless he's working off then i'll just want him home for the delivery.

We haven't really talked about it yet but I am going to ask my DH to take his week vacation during that time to give me some help and then my mom and MIL will probably help out a lot also.

When our son was born he was only able to get 2 days off.... with our daughter he was able to get a week..... now we think this time we're going to have him take 2 weeks. I sure wish I could get him to take 6 weeks!

We haven't really discussed that yet. But I have a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, SIL and cousin that are more than willing to help. (My MIL is worth a dime in helping)

well, since I will be having a repeat c-section, he will stay with me in the hospital, then maybe a day or two after we get home, just depending how things go. with Mason, I had him on Thursday, we left the hospital on Sunday, and DH went back to work Monday, which was fine b/c my mom came and stayed with me for a few days. So we'll probably just wait and see when the time comes!

I had just asked him about his vacation so I'm assuming he will take a week off. My mom plans on coming to town for about two weeks, but she hopes to be here when the baby is born so I don't really know if she will be here long after. Hope she has good timing when she buys her plane tickets. My MIL lives 4 hours away and I'm sure she will come down for a few days, but she doesn't even know I'm pregnant yet.

It'll be just me all alone with my two kiddos in my new apartment!! Im positive the daddy would LOVE to come over as often to be with me and help take care of the baby. Im not quite sure how far I would be moving(30min away from him Im thinking so far) because I wanna move back to chicago. So depending on his schedule and all we can work around it. Plus he has older kids that would love to help out. But if not, I got this

Dh will probably take a wk we haven't really talked about it yet. He works nights anyway though so even when he goes back to work he is around alot of the day to help. Of course if there are any problems or complications he'll take more.

DH works from home and will probably take at least a week or two to totally devote to his new family but after that he will be around to help when I need him.

My husband is taking a month off! I feel SO blessed! he gets paternity leave through the military and then he will take some vacation days as well. My mom lives fairly close by so I m sure she will be here a lot and my mother in law will come to visit for 2 weeks. I think we have it covered :-)

DH gets 2 weeks paternity leave. It will be extended because he gets some time off for the 4th of July, so most likely it will be more like 2.5 weeks before he has to go back.

For baby #1, Dh took 1 1/2 weeks off and worked half-days for 1/2 week. I had a c-section, so I needed all the help I could get. With baby #2, he'll probably take a week off and work half-days for a week. My mom is a school nurse and will be off in the summer. So, I'll have her help all I want. And, MIL is a WAHM who lives minutes away from us. In addition, my sis is thinking of flying in from NYC for the month of July. She'll probably entertain Isabella while I attend to baby.
