Ok the u/s was scheduled a couple of weeks ago but now I am really looking forward to it. I am HUGE and even the homebirth midwife and my doula were amazed by my size. I look about 25 weeks pregnant and I am only 18 and day by early u/s. I have only gained 5 lbs so its not donuts LOL.

I figured early u/s showed one no biggie, well I have a friend with two sets of twins and they missed her second set. Been reading alot about that. Even when I mentioned my size to the doc last time I was there I said well it cant be twins since I had an early u/s and she said "unless one was hiding" (not confidence inspiring). Twins run in my family and I would not be upset by any stretch if I were having twins but it would put the brakes on a home birth .

We shall see I guess, just hoping my size is due to weaker stomach muscles from having been pregnant eight times so I am "popping" more. Will let you know on New years eve!

Well, that would add a little bit of excitement! We'll be anxious to hear how the ultrasound goes. Will you be finding out the gender?

Oh WOW! Twins would be neat! Ive heard of the little hide and seek babies wuite a bit actually. My MIL is a big overstater of that since twins apparently run in DHs family (I had NO clue of this until tonight, when she reminded me yet again it "could be"). Ive had 8 u/s, and my level II u/s today, there is NO way there is more than one in there, LOL. But, she insists! So I know its definitely possible! Good luck at your appt, how exciting to find out New Years Eve, keep us posted!

I can't wait to find out....My good friend found out at her 20 week u/s that she was having twins....they came 10 weeks later....They are both doing great now and will be three in March! They are the same age as my DD and it is so much fun to watch them play. Wow! Wouldn't that be exciting????

My coworker didn't find out until her 20 week u/s. Possible indeed! And the chances are greater since you've had so many kiddos... Good luck!

We are very excited to find out on new years eve! and YES we will be finding out the gender (genders LOL). I am trying to stay calm about the possibility, it would be neat. Doc said my placenta is anterior so could make it hard to hear scond heartbeat.

I will be sure to let you all know how it goes. Off to a Christmas party, have a blessed day!! Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate!
