today the home healthcare nurse came to start my P-17 injections in hopes of prevent preterm birth. Every week they will come, give me my injection, check my BP, listen to baby with doppler, take my temp and do a general assessment of how I am feeling. The shot was not bad, it hurt way less then my heparin injections which I get 2x a day but man o man it's been making my leg and back cramp up. She said it may do that for a day or so.

My BP was not good at first but that was because I was freaked out about the shot. She later retook my BP and it was back down too normal. I have to admit it was less embarrassing then I imagined. the shot goes in the upper haunches area so I really didnt have to bare most of my butt- I had totally pictured pants around the ankled shot in the middle of my poor butt scenario

here's hoping that they help and I can stay out of the hospital until it's actually time to have Thumper.

Atleast it's not as bad as you imagined....and atleast you have a home healthcare nurse and dont have to go to the hospital every week!

I really give props to you and those other mommies on this board who go thru these kinda things to keep their little ones safe. I am sorry you are having to go thru all of this.

sleeping last night really sucked. I woke up whenever i tried to flip onto my right side.. next week i get it on the left side and I dont know how I will sleep at all!

I have to tell you and your gonna wanna laugh at me...I thought these shots were daily..I'm glad to hear they are weekly but sorry to hear that your sore from them and I hope they at least work and are worth the pain!

aww..I am sorry. I am glad that so far so good though. I am really rooting for this little one to stick and stick for a long time!!!
