Any chapstick should be fine- they are mostly just vaseline based. I would avoid the medicated ones for the simple fact that they will BURN like the Dickens with cracked lips! Ive had the worst chapped lips since becoming pregger, and havent really found anything that helps much. It sucks... Im sure DH is tired of kissing sandpaper. If you find something good, let me know!

I would think any chapstick is fine. I personally like Burt's Bees but if it's cracked it might be better to use just plain vaseline.

I use Carmex religiously b/c my nose is stuffy all the time now that I am laying down. My lips are always dry but if I use the Carmex, they are all good!

I'm with Astrid here! Carmex works great, and makes your hurting, chapped leaps feel better right away. I hate the smell though!!!

I like carmex also just don't use too much b/c I have before and it tends to start burning... I need to find a good facial moisturizer because nothing works for me, I have sensitive skin so my dermatologist suggested Cetaphil when I was younger but now even that don't work...does anyone know of any good ones?

I'd suggest ChapStick Medicated Lip Balm. I can't use carmex it made it worse for me so my doctor told me about this chapstick and it's great! And it doesn't really sting, I found it stings less than carmex.

I cant use any of the medicated ones or mint ones as they just make me worse, and burn burn burn! I use this stuff that you can find at Sally Beauty Suply- its just coco-butter lip balm. It works great, when Im not preggers! But for some reason its not helping now...
Angie- as for face moisturizer... I SWEAR by my Aveda Botanical Kinetics. I use the whole line. If however you are prone to oily skin- the lotion will be too much alone without the toner. The toner controls the oil, and then the moisturizer can do its job without getting slicky icky. If you are prone to breakouts try the Outer Peace line. It works great and has a really good moisturizer too. I switch between the two every other day to control my new acne problem and my new dry peeling skin problem (ahh the joys of motherhood). They also have a lip product- but Ive never tried it. Maybe I should! Here is the Aveda website (also- you can get these products cheaper in the store usually).

Em, I use Aveda pretty much exclusively! I switched lotions 'cause I ran out and haven't been to the mall to get more. I LOVE aveda!

I am all about the carmex. Also works great around the nostrils if you have had a cold and your nose is red and hurting from all the wiping.

I just use plain ol' vaseline Works wonders for me. I find the medicated stuff makes me worse, but it sounds like most of them are safe to use during pregnancy!
Good luck...hope you find some relief

I love, LOVE, love the Aveda hair products but have never tried the lotions, etc. I'll have to check them out.
Angie - I've always used Nutriderm (I think it's made by the same company as Cetaphil). It's always worked good for me!

When mine are painfully chapped or cracked I use a little Aquaphor. It is a product by Eucerin. You can get it in little tubes or huge ones (it is what I use for my babies diaper rash too). It is super gentle and fragrance free which is a necessity for my lips if they are chapped because they are so sensitive. Good luck, not much worse than really chapped lips!

I use this stuff from the body shop that is made out of pot. I love it. I know it has a politically correct name, but I'd butcher it so I'm not even going to try.
I use the lotion and the lip stuff. I used to work a digital press, and I was handling HEATED, chemically coated paper ALL DAY, my hands would bleed! This stuff took care of it all and it makes my nails grow really nice too.
