Just had my first ultrasound yesterday; no heartbeat. But the tech said I'm measuring 4 weeks, 6 days. That's an entire week earlier than I calculated! I'm gonna list some information for you all to look at and if anyone has any insight, please let me know.

LMP = Jan. 18
Pos. OPK = CD 18 & 19
Pos. HPT = CD 28

HCG = 8 on CD 28
193 on CD 33
906 on CD 36
3533 on CD 39
Prog. = 19 on CD 28
19.9 on CD 33

Ultrasound on CD 42 (technically is 5 weeks, 6 days, I think)

By the positive OPK, I likely O'd several days later than someone with the average 28 day cycle. So that would make some sense. I just hate not seeing a heartbeat!!!! They're gonna see my in one week to repeat the ultrasound. Anybody have a similar experience? Or does it look like a miscarriage?

Thanks tremendously!

With my first they didn't get a h/b until well into the 7th week. Try not to worry to much, it is still very early for the h/b. Please let us know how things are going! Sending you lots of positive thought!

This early on, the u/s are pretty accurate, so I wouldn't worry about it. If you are measuring 4 weeks, then just wait until your next visit and I'm sure you'll see something. I've had this happen a couple of times and I actually expect it to happen this time as well b/c my cycles are very regular. Good luck, I'm sure its all going to be ok!

According to what I see from what you tell me you o'ed on cd20 and got postive blood work on cd28 (8dpo) thats great that u got such an early positive and ur number of 193 on cd33 (appx 12 dpo) was higher than mine (132) so i think you are fine. Also I just looked at calendar dates and it seems you o'ed on 2/6, which puts u on target with a due date of 10/30.

Well my info is as follows:

lmp: 1/11/08
Positive OPK 1/30 (cd20)
Possible o date 1/31 (cd21)

AF due 2/8 (based on prior month 28 day cycle, usual length 29-35 days) 28 was very short
BFN on 2/8 (cd29)
bfp on 2/12 (4 days late) (cd33)

HCg on 2/12 - 132
HCG on 2/19 6317

Doctor is giving me due date of 10/18 based on lmp even though I believe it may be 10/23. So Im either 7 weeks today or 6 weeks. Have my u/s on Tuesday to confirm dates also

HTH (or at least didnt confuse u)

Try not to worry... I had an u/s when I thought I was 6 weeks, and they measured me to be 5 weeks 2 days, and saw no heartbeat. I was devestated and thought that with this result and all the spotting and cramping I was having, a M/C was inevitable...
But, a week later at the next ultrasound, there was my little bean with a good heartbeat measuring 7 weeks.
Try to stay positive and I will pray all will be well for you.

Julie

Thanks!!

Sorry your stressing out hon. I had an u/s to date my pregnancy at 6 weeks and they didnt see a heartbeat. sometimes it is just to early or the baby is a weird position. We werent able to get a heartbeat until 8 weeks. SO dont worry to much your numbers look good.
