hmmm? i don't think i have a 'check in' that i'm supposed to do. i do have a piece of paper that i filled out and have to mail back in. that will just make it easier for when i do go into labor. then i can just go in there and get set up without having to fill out anything.

Our OB office has you fill out a pre-registration form when you go for your first appt at 8 weeks - I know you have to fill out some more paperwork once you get there, but usually they do it when you're getting admitted. At least thats what I am learning from my lamaze classes.

I had to pre-register but, I will still have to sign a couple of things when i get in there. The dr. office will probably have the papers if you ask them. Or call the hospital you are delivering at and they will send it to you.

I pre-registered at around 30wks (with a L&D nurse). That's all I have to do.....once I arrive in labor they just take my medicare number. They already have all the other info on file.

I need to ask my doc about that next week. I think pre-registering would just make things so much easier.

Me too. They already have our insurance on file so all we do is go directly to L&D. We did it at my class 2 weeks ago.

I forgot about the pre-registration. I don't suppose I have to do it, because my midwives have all my info and they run the birthing center, but it's good to ask.

I have already pre-registered also. That happened when I took my multiples class when I was 14 weeks along. I know...early but that is what they recommended b/c of the high risk pgcy situation.

My doc told me to get it done before my next appointment which is next wednesday. I'm hoping I can do it on Friday since hubby will be home for Good Friday and can watch the kiddos.

I forgot to mail my pre-registration last time... BIG mistake! Having to stand there at the counter (they didn't get me a wheelchair or anything) giving them insurance and other information while having back to back contractions is NOT fun. I think I snapped at one of the nurses because she was hounding me about something and I was like "Do you mind? I'm in the middle of a freaking contraction here!" lol

I made sure to mail it in this time!

I just fill out the pre registration form and my midwife faxes it over for me She usually does this in the 2nd trimester.
