I have lots of names I love and cant use- because DH doesnt like them, or he thinks they dont go with our last name... HUMPH! We have one of the MOST generic, plain Jane, common last names around- EVERYTHING goes with it- but he insists... Grumble.
Anyways a few I wanted to use but "couldnt":
Mia
Gianna
Ainsley
Avery
Bailey

I wanted to use Gavin or Aiden but they just didn't go well with our last name that starts with N. I also liked Blake, Trey and Dru but dh wasn't crazy about them.

I always ALWAYS have wanted a boy named Cooper. For as long as I can remember. But, um....Cooper Cooper doesn't really sound very good, now does it?
Pretty much any name that ends in -er sounds stupid with our last name. Too many -er sounds. Of course, I like all of those names like Parker, Hunter, Carter....we may still use Carter since it's a family name and we feel strongly about it, but who knows.

I had several I wanted to use but didn't sound right with my last name, which starts with a "S." I really loved Sierra or Savannah, but the double S just didn't sound right. So I had to dismiss any S names all together.

There were quite a few names I liked but they rhyme with SO's surname and didn't sound good. Caitlin, Alison, Evan and Ethan to name a few. Also as the surname is quite long, some other longer names I wanted, like Annabelle really become too much of a mouthful. Oh, and a friend due about 4 weeks before me has picked Caleb for her son, which means if I have a boy I must cross that off my list also.
And SO has a thing against 'old' sounding girls names like Amelia and Charlotte, refuses to even think about them! Personally they're perfectly lovely names, and both go well with the surname but nooooo... too 'ye olde' for him!

How Dh and I ever agreed on a name is beyond me. There were so many names that I liked... But we had the hardest time with a middle name because we wanted a one syllable first and middle name.

I have always loved the name Elizabeth and wanted to use it. can't now because DH has a sister named Elizabeth. Also a few like Seth, Evan, because DH knew people in school with those names and he didn't like them! IT WAS HIGHSCHOOL!!!
Oh well we have found name for our kids despite these issues!!!

I love the name Claire for a little girl but it rhymes with our last name and sounds really bad. There are a couple of other names I like but they are too similar to our son's name, I don't want our kids to have rhyming names so we are still searching. Hopefully we a get a name or two soon or this LO will be coming home without!

There are a few. I think I happen to like seasonal names. So if we were having a girl, I wanted to name her Wynter or Summer. However, since we already have Autumn, I thought it'd be kinda corny. I also really like the name Caleb, but DH's brother is Caleb.

About nine years ago when we were looking for names for our oldest son, we both liked the name Colton. Our last name rhymes with Hagen, so So it sounded like Copenhagen! Oh well!
