I'm still being monitored at my OB's office twice a week and this morning when I went in, Baby B was having some decelerations in her H/B the nurse was concerned about. I was getting pretty nervous, so she took my printout from the monitor to my OB and he said to send me to L&D for further monitoring. So, off I went ... I spent only two hours there and she turned out to be just fine and was doing great. Whheewww .. what a relief!!
In the bed next to me, there was a girl who was having contractions at 34 weeks and she was hyperventilating anytime they talked about needles and getting blood or an IV or anything .. she kept throwing up at the mention of it. I felt so bad for her, but I was also thinking .. what is she going to do about pain management during birth and right then the nurse asked her that question .. she said, "oh, I'm getting an epidural". HOW??!! Isn't that a massive needle in your spine?!!

Poor thing ... I'm sure that kind of fear is real in so many people.
