The last time Aaden was at the doctor was last June for his 2 year check-up. He does OK when no one's in the room, but once a nurse or the doctor enters, he immediately flips and doesn't want them near him or touching him. Needless to say, it's usually an interesting visit.

Josh had to go to the dr when he had hives all over his body a few weeks ago -- that wasnt as bad as the prior vists we have had.

We are looking for a ped so tomorrow we have a visit in a new office, totally not looking forward to it. Josh doesnt like to be touched by other people.

Maryella is fine in the waiting room, but the second we go through the door to get to the exam rooms it starts. She freaks if they try to weigh her or get her height. She also thrashes and flails when they try to check her mouth, eyes, ears, etc. With all the times she's been to the doctors (pediatrician and asthma doctor) you would think she would know they're not going to hurt her. It's always an experience. Thankfully the asthma doctor is really cool about it. He said that his son used to do the same thing when he was little, only he would start flipping in the parking lot. Now his son is a pediatrician.

Josh did as I expected. He didnt want to be weighed but when they wanted to measure him he wanted to be back on the scale .. oy. Then to the room she checked his head size, he hated it. We waited for the dr to come in. He was fine. as soon as she came in he started Flipping! He didnt do toooo bad and the exam was able to be done and he is fine. As soon as she was done with him and he was dressed again and able to get down he was happy as can be talking away.

Isabel saw the doctor earlier this year when she had a fever that wouldn't go away and ending up having a UTI. We only go when they're sick, since we don't vaccinate we don't do the regular well visits.

She does really well at the doctor, doesn't mind at all. She had labs done when we found out she had a UTI and did a great job getting her blood drawn.

Well, Dh took Max to his last doc appt because I was still in the hospital with having Theo. Max had a cough that had continued to get worst.

Max does well at the doc's because he knows he gets a big sticker at the end.

It's funny because he was there 2 weeks ago when I took my DD in for a cough. About 2 days ago, he had busted the inside of his lip. It had bled just a little bit. A couple hours later, he said, "I need to go to the doctor and talk to him." Belle said, "Well, maybe on Wednesday." I said why and he showed me his "big ouchy". These kids crack me up! He then said, "and I can get a sticker."

Now, Isabella was not comfortable going to the doctor until her 4-year well-check. She cried at almost every appt for the 1st two years and was just cautious when she was 3. But, by age 4, she is very cooperative with the pedi.
