When do you plan to tell them? Have you told them? How did you or plan to tell them?

We have told a few close friends and that's it. DH's dad is going to be down next weekend and we are hosting a BBQ for to "celebrate our 5th anniversary" that weekend. Our anniversary was yesterday. We are going to tell them then. I want to enjoy the pregnancy as much as I can and having to hide everything really sucks. We hope they will take it well.

My mom, sister, dad and MIL know, I will tell everyone when I'm closer to 12 weeks. I think we're going to get DD a big sister onesie and take pictures and send them out since we don't live near anyone.

We told most of our family on July 4th and more of them yesteday at a family BBQ. We've told a few close friends but that's it.

We actually told my mom and his family first, my family is a lil bit more old fashioned folks, but they were actually really happy bc my older sister Robbin didn't involve them and so far I have involved them and going to keep them involved so they are happy. We are actually going to Dallas, TX Aug 8-10 so that way I can finally meet his family. Yes, My fiance got me pregnant before I met the rest of his family lol, I met his mom when they came down here. SO this is exciting lol

Ideally, I would like to wait until around 12 weeks. But, 2 of my 3 siblings and their families live out of state and I will be there weeks 8-10...what a perfect opportunity to tell them. I will be there for my nephews surgery so I expect other relatives would come visit him in the hospital so I could tell them in person. I can't wait to tell one of my uncle's as he has said several times, "You were like a daughter to us," and now that my aunt has passed away I can see him crying when he hear's the news--happy of course.

DH commented that he can't tell his family in person, but I asked him to wait a little while yet. He does have one brother who recently moved 10 minutes from us and I would like to create a t-shirt for the nephew (he's almost 2) that says something like "#1 Cousin" or "I'm getting a new cousin." We occasionally go over there so I would put the shirt on the nephew and wait for his parent's to notice.

I told my mom yesterday and DH is going to tell my dad...hopefully today so my mom doesn't have to contain her excitement at home. Both of DH's parent's are deceased, so he misses out on telling them. But before DH asked when he could tell his family, he asked when he could tell his friend. I asked him to wait until after the ultrasound, but I may let him tell "Uncle Matty" before then.

I told my friend Tara (she lives on the East coast, fellow Navy wife) and my friends from my Nov PR know... but that is all I am telling for awhile. I had a m/c in April so I am going to keep quiet for awhile.. at least until I make it to 12 weeks I am thinking.. maybe 8 weeks. I am not looking forward to the negative comments I am sure we will get from both sides

my mum, twin sister and 2 close friends know. We will tell the ILS when they visit from Holland next week..everyone else I dont know

I told my sis and my bf, and asked them not too tell anyone, and they both have. Im not impressed. After all it is MY BODY. And after a year of trying, im a little nervous.

We've only told our best friends. We'll wait on everyone else until at least after we see the doctor. That is set for August 6th. Not sure how we're going to do it yet.

I plan on not telling anyone until we are at 12 weeks, we did this with DD and it just worked best for us.

At first we wernt going to tell anyone for a little while to see how things go but when i left my wonderful soon to be dh he had to tell his parents....so he said.... his mother was really excited its really his step mom but she raised him...she doesnt have any kids of her own so we are the only ones to give her grandchildren and she is so excited! his dad was pretty excited too... then HE decided that we needed to tell my parents.... so we did and they were pretty excited too...althought my sister just had her baby on the first of july they were still excited because this will be the first grandbaby that wont be living in their house my sister is 17 that just had her baby but hes adorable! As far as who else he has told im not sure...but i know a few friends know and im sure random strangers that he sees he probably tells! if you couldnt tell hes pretty excited!

We are planning to keep it to ourselves until after the 1st appointment. Last month I had a badrun in with $ store tests (they seemed to be positive for everyone, including DH) I don`t want my friends and family thinking that I am going to say I am pregnant every month and I`m still a little nervous.

In April I had a "chemical" pregnancy. Maybe after the 8th week I`ll feel a little more comfortable about telling people. At the moment only my DH and my sister know.

I have told a couple of my close friends, and a few girls at work.... We will wait to tell out parents until we get the really cute "I'm going to be a big brother" shirt for Joshua

DF knows (of course) and my roommie knows. Other than that, I'm waiting until 12 weeks to tell anyone. Maybe later, depends on when I start to show. I'm not looking forward to the reactions I know I'm going to get.

You guys are all so good... Or maybe I'm stupid. I couldn't hold news like that in, so most of our friends and family know. Our friends have all been supporting us while we have been TTC, so it was hard not to tell when they asked how things were going.
