So tonight when I wiped there was red blood. Not lots, but some streaks and two small clots. I totally freaked out. Thankfully, it was before the office closed so I called. They put me on hold forever! Asked all the normal questions, no we hadn't DTD recently, etc. The nurse said that the dr. said it was normal as long as it's not enough to color the water. Well, yeah, that would be a real problem, but IMO red blood is not normal. She said to put my feet up. It's just a faint pink spotting now, 3 hours later. Sigh. I just had an appt. yesterday so it's another 4 weeks before I go back. I really hope it goes away soon because now I'm so worried.

Try not to stress to much. I was having the same problem about 2 weeks ago. I finally went in and the Dr. informed me that my cervix was low. She said she wasn't concerned at the time, that she will check it again at my next appt. 16 weeks (sept.25th) She just said no DTD and just carfully monitor it and only call or be concerned if it gets worse. So for the next week or so I still would have some blood when I wiped. (never enough to get on my underwear, just TP. Sorry if thats TMI) The finally last Wed. I stopped seeing it when I wiped and have not had any since. So I'm hoping that means that my cervix is finally moving more up now that my belly is getting bigger. Hope that this helps, and just continue to monitor it and if you still feel concerned I would def. call back. Hugs!

I just had some Pink blood, it was like, I went to wipe and there was a smear across the TP.. then a tiny little clot, followed by more pink.. Since I just went thru a loss this past May, and it started out as pink spotting... I freaked RIGHT out.. I was shaking and everything.. So i went into ER. Like I would anytime I seen blood.. Apparently!!! I have a Vaginal Infection!!! Ive never in my life had one! We havent had sex since I Conceived this baby!!!!! so, 3 months! so I had no idea I could even get a Vaginal Infection! But thats what caused the bleeding for me.. Im still keeping a close eye, because it scared the #### outa me! Especially because of my loss one cycle before I got pregnant with this baby.. But the doc at ER did an internal, and said there was No blood coming thru my cervix, but my cervix was very red, inflamed and irritated looking.. also had some discharge on and around it... So in your case, it could be nothing, but it could be an infection! I never once thought of an infection! But now I know, it can cause some bleeding. They gave me a Antibacterial Cream that I apply once a night before bed for 7 nights.. then my doc will check me over and make sure it cleared up.

I hope the bleeding quits and you feel better soon. I've been very lucky to never have had bleeding in any of my pregnancies (knock on wood) so I can't imagine how scary it must be!

Glad to hear you are resting. If they did an internal yesterday it could be from that. Take it easy and try not to stress.

Big hugs to you.

Nope. I wouldn't be so scared if that were the case, or if we had recently DTD, I was constipated, had been exercising, doing heavy lifting or work. Nothing. Pretty much all I did was sit around and do normal daily activities, diaper changes, make lunch, check JM....

I've been in your shoes so much this pregnancy, so I completely understand how you are feeling. IMHO, I think that red blood during pregnancy is NOT normal. I'm glad it's tapering down to pink because that's a good thing. I've been told that anything can irritate your cervix during pregnancy and since there is so much more blood flow downstairs, it can easily cause bleeding. I truly hope that you don't have to experience this anymore. Just quite overdoing it with JM!!!

I've had a cervical polyp removed and was told that was my issue, but still have issues...
Friday night as I was sitting with the hurricane rolling in, I discovered I was bleeding again and had several small clots. I freaked out and cried in the bathroom, but had to pull it together because I couldn't call my doctor and my DH was worried about me enough already, so I didn't have anyone to talk to it about really. I was supposed to have my appointment yesterday, but everything is closed for who knows how long. I swear if it happens again, I'm taking myself to the ER. Screw this sit and wait crap. It's getting old, plus there isn't anyone to see me other than the ER. Way to go IKE - jacka@#

Geez. I wish doctors knew how much this stuff freaks us out, and that even though everything is probably fine, a quick u/s would do wonders for the stress level. Do you have access to a doppler? It might set your mind at ease to hear LO's heartbeat. I am sure everything's fine, but I know how scary this is. I agree with Anitha... Try to rest as much as you can.

((HUGS)) I hope your spotting stops! If it persists call them back and see if you can come in for at least a quick doppler check to ease your mind.

*hugs* so many of us can relate. when i had a clot 2 weekends ago my OB said the same thing. but i couldn't stop worrying. make an appt. i went in and felt so much better hearing the heartbeat by doppler. and my OB also checked my cervix to make sure it wasn't low or opening - which can cause bleeding in the 2nd trimester. luckily everything was perfect and they don't have an explanation for the bleeding ... which is frustrating! but i felt so much better hearing the baby. i'm sure everything is fine. just take it easy. oh and when i called my OB, they asked the same question about DTD ... i almost laughed b/c it's been so long!!! hehe

I really hope the bleeding stops... If you are really concerned, I would call them back and demand an appointment.

I got checked last week since I was spotting a little but enough to scare the crap out of me. So my doctor told me there are 1 in 4 women who will spot and Im likely that. I also just try and take it easy, not too much physical stuff- at the same time Im not just doing nothing.

There are things happening with the placenta & cervix as well which my sister googled, and it insinuated some spotting could occur in the 2nd trimester. At my apt. the doc. was able to hear our baby's heart, that was very reassuring. Have you had that opportunity yet, or an ultrasound. I cant keep up with who had what here since its hard as we don't see each other..

Take it easy,

Oh no! I hope its nothing and it stops soon. Just take it easy, try to do a modified "bedrest" for a couple days until you don't see blood anymore! Keep us updated.

Well, the spotting has stopped so I'm sure it was nothing to worry about but that doesn't stop me! I find myself going to the bathroom even when I don't really have to just to check! As far as the heartbeat, we just heard it on Mon. the day before the spotting and it was strong. I had the dry heaves again this morning so it was actually a good sign in my mind. I did feel the baby move last night so I think everything is ok, just something wierd that happened. Thanks for all the support. You girls rock!
