For those that are 24 weeks this week (like me!) congrats. Hope your week is a good one.
I went for my monthly appointment last Friday (Nov. 21). It went well. I had been having some nose bleeds but as of right now they don't seem blood pressure related. I had an awful sinus infection that the doctor said I probably ruptured a capillary and any irritation causes it to bleed. If it continues I have to see an ENT to have it sealed off. I will also need my iron checked in a month to make sure it is not anemia causing the nose bleeds.
My blood pressure was better than ever at 116/68. I normally run in the 130's. Natalee's HB was 154. The doctor did mention I had a growth spurt, which I already suspected. She said I gained 8lbs in a month, which when I weighed a few days before it was 5 (I am going with that!). I asked if I should be concerned and she said no, we will just monitor to make sure I don't gain too much. Up until that I either gained a pound or two each visit if that. So no big deal, I guess. I had a limit of 15lbs, but I am not sure I will be able to stick to that now as I am at the 10lb mark.
I have my repeat 3 hour glucose test Dec. 10th. (I had one at 16 weeks that my over cautious endocrinologist wants repeated)
I go back Dec. 19th to see my OB and then I guess my next appointment will begin the every two week routine.
I then see my endocrinologist Dec. 22.
Looks like my December will be busy!
Happy Thanksgiving to all as I am sure to be elbow deep in cooking most of the day tomorrow!
