Tuna is supposed to be ok in small quantities, so I think a little Tuna salad would be ok, though this is JMO.

Tuna us fine as long as you don't eat it every single day... Mayo is fine too, I think... I've never heard not to eat it... If it is on the no eat list I guess I goofed... I have eaten it throughout all 3 preganancies! Mmmmm... Tuna sounds yummy...

Tuna is actually very good for you and baby during your pregnancy - you just have to eat the right kind. Make sure you choose canned light tuna. You can eat fresh or frozen tuna or canned white tuna (albacore) but they are the highest in mercury content so they should be limited or just avoided completely. You can have 1-2 servings of fresh/frozen per month or 1-2 servings albacore per week. It is recommended to have 3-4 servings of canned light tuna per week. Salmon is highly recommended and you can have unlimited amounts. Fresh or canned doesn't matter but it has lots of protein and fatty acids that are good for baby's development. Other important fish to have are sardines, tilapia, haddock, pollock, sole, cod, snapper, herring, trout and shellfish.

Hope this helps!

i agree with the above! Canned light is also known as "skipjack" in some places. But as for salmon, alaskan is a far better choice than atlantic. It has less pollutants in it but is also more expensive. Is mayo not ok? I love mayo and eat it all the time.

Store bought mayo is fine. It's no longer made with raw eggs.
