I need to have a long closed cervix tomorrow for my before numbers. The cerclage is going in on Friday so tomorrow is full of pre op bloodwork, all my instructions and my before u/s. I'll have my after u/s in 2 or 3 weeks, after everything has healed. I'm going to ask the tech if they have a guess on gender tomorrow too, but it's still early so I'm won't be surprised if they can't see yet. Anyway u/s is at 10:30 am mountain time, and I'll get the bloodwork done after that. I'll update as soon as I get home.
Baby looks great, and is measuring right on target. S/he had no interest in letting us see between the legs so we're still in the dark. And my cervix, not as long as they would like to see. I have 2.5 cm of cervix today, about 1 cm less than they were hoping for, but still enough to get the cerclage in. I'm wainting for the nurse to call me this afternoon and tell me what time I'm scheduled for tomorrow. So needless to say everything is good, it's just not great.
I have to be at the hospital at 10:30 am. It's going to be a long morning with an empty stomach.
My daughter is perfect, but her birth was not. If you or someone you love is struggling to cope with a traumatic childbirth experience, please visit http://www.solaceformothers.org/
I am glad baby is doing well. I am so sorry you have to go through this procedure, it doesn't sound like any fun at all. When baby arrives it will all be worth it.
