I went to wipe and there was a brown discharge. I know it's normal and there wasn't any pink - it looked like 2 brown dried rubber cement clumps...

It was really gross...this is normal, right?

Yes, especially since it was brown. Have you had sex in the last 24 hours (sorry I know that's personal but it's often a cause)?

Oh wait you just had your appointment didn't you? Did they do a vaginal exam? If so that's very likely the culprit!

I have been experiencing this brown discharge for 4 weeks now.
The doctor said as long as they have ruled out ectopic pregnancy everything is fine.
Because it's old blood it can either be an irritated cervix from sex, bowel movement, or dr appt
she said some women get little tears in their uterine wall in early pregnancy also.
I'm not sure which one mine is but she said as long as its no other color than brown & theirs no extra ordinary besides the pregnancy cramps! Good luck with the chunks! Its no fun! LOL

As long as it's brown and not red it's fine. Could be from a Dr's appt, sex, etc.

This is one of the reasons I love JM. I haven't had something like that happen yet. If I didn't hear that its normal from people like you guys, I might pass out if it happened to me. So thanks for sharing your experiences (haha I know thats kinda a weird post, but its true).

I had some brown discharge for three days straight, and even though I knew brown blood is old blood and shouldn't be anything to worry about I still felt concerned. Apparently it is really common though so try not to let it get to you. As long as it doesn't start getting red and is accompanied by cramping you should be just fine
