Since I am on the methadone, I have decided to opt for all the testing I can, so if there were something "wrong" with the baby, I could educate myself and do everything I can to provide the absolutely best life for the baby.

Yesterday was the 1st trimester risk assessement. I won't get my exact result for about a week, since I am earlier than expected when I made the appt (based on last period I should be 12 weeks not 10)

All the measurements the sonographers took were completely normal. The baby was not being very understanding when the two sonographers kept trying to make him or her move.

This bean is just like mommy as a baby, just content in the fetal position with thumb in mouth and pointer finger on nose ♥

Here are the two photo's we were given, they are 4x the size we are used to from our OB office.

I went and got blood work done a few days ago, and then yep, just an u/s with full bladder as its not vaginal. it was a beautiful experiance because of the fact that it took a while for the baby to be in the right position for the measurements to be done. so it was great getting to see the little being moving all around.

after the u/s we met with the genetic counselor, she told us about what the u/s was for-4th time we heard it there. then about other screenings we could do, and all the different defects they can find, sounded like an advertisement

she would have told me right then and there what me exact %ages were re: if the baby had downs or tri. 18, but my bloddwork was done too early, was supposed to be done past 10 weeks I guess. I had just made the cut off for the u/s. I will get the results next week

Wow see I'm glad someone got it before me, because I've never had this done and I go next Tuesday for it and now I'm somewhat prepared. I'm scared most of all. Did you have to get your blood done again? I get everything done all at one shot so I don't know if I will get a phone consultation with the results or if I have to go back in for them. Hopefully just a phone consultation, but I will have a consultation there too with the high risk dr.

Let us know the results!

That stinks you gave blood and have to do it again. Eeks. It sounds like you are doing everything you can to make sure that baby is doing awesome in there. Koodos to you!

I'm glad all of the measurements are fine and baby looks good!
