I love celery and cream cheese. Is it safe to eat whipped cream cheese?

im sure it is cause its pasturized and all, they say not to eat soft or veiny cheeses but im almost positive cream cheese isnt a soft cheese (ie brie, feta, blue cheese etc) theres so much pasturizing and all im sure its good!

I would think it's ok. Like someone else said, it's probably pasturized which is what you want in any cheese or milk product. You only need to worry about eating/drinking it if it says unpasturized on the container. Sour cream is ok too...I ate that all the time with my son and I eat it now.

oooh i didnt even know cream cheese was in question for being bad for you! glad its not though! i absolutely love cream cheese! especially when i make homemade spinach dip with cream cheese..... yummmm!
