So I just got a phone call and as of right now I am now have at least 15 people over for easter.. with a possible 17!!

I have never hosted anything at my house.. i am only 22 though lol !!At first it was just going to be like 6 people, but nope now its 15!

My dining room table only has 4 chairs! But it could fit 8 people with the leaf open.. but I need to find 4 more chairs that are high (the table is a high table).. I dont know what to do with the 5 more people!.. I was thinking of setting them up in my living room on another dining rooom table... Geeshh!!

Wow, you're jumping in with both feet.

I've been to lots of gatherings where there was a second table in another room. It sounds like that would work.

I love hosting for the holidays but I know it's hard figuring out where to put all of those people. Depending on what you're serving maybe you could just set up a buffet table and people can sit where ever they want to eat.

The second table will work. My DH's family is big so that is what they have to do.

Good Luck

I second the buffet table idea and my biggest tip is... buy a precooked ham. You can still make all the sides and another main dish but it saves so much time when you are hosting that many people (I have a huge family so I can relate)! Also nobody cares about seating arrangements and if you do try to make them, they'll just get changed later. Have fun!

Wow. I could never do that. I would say set up 2 tables if there are a lot of kids have a kids table and an adult table.

thanks you all!! Actually one of my aunts is making the ham.. my gma is making lasagna, italian pickled stuff, salad, and bringing a desert. I am doing mashed potatoes and greenbean casserole, and corn lol. So the cooking isnt scaring me.. Its the people lol!! I think we are doing the two table idea.. I have a huge counter so we will set up all the food there and let everyone go get there stuff and then sit at one of the two tables.. That sounds good right!
