i had my US a few weeks ago..I measured a few days before so they redid my dates..

anyway.. had my 8 week checkup and she found something on my

US..

I have small adjacent subchorionic hemorrhage.. she said it was a blood clot on the placenta.. she asked if I was bleeding or cramping.. i had and have no bleeding.. and cramping.. normal of that.

i have another US date for April 7th.. she said if that bloodclot doesnt go down and not be there ..I could have a misscarriage..

I have wonderful children.. This baby was my answers from God. no what..

i am SO sad.. i dont know what to do..

I'm sorry that you got bad news. I have known several women though who had the same thing and it went away on it's own. I think there may have even been a few women here. It isn't over yet! I'll keep you in my thoughts!

this is actually more common than you might think, and I have read somewhere that the m/c rate is between 1-3% (from the bleed itself) after you've seen the heartbeat. Most of them are reabsorbed before 20 weeks and people continue on with healthy pregnancies Good luck to you!

I don't know who told you about it having to disappear in the next few weeks but whoever it was needs a lesson in bedside manner.

I have a small SCH as well. I have had bleeding and cramping with mine but am still very pregnant. Mine was picked up at the same gestation as yours.

When I spoke to my Dr about it, he assured me that because it was small the risk of miscarriage was really no greater than it was without one. He also said that somewhere about 98% of SCH's either bleed out or are fully reabsorbed by 20 weeks.

it looks like your doc wasn't as gentle in telling you the information as he/she should have been. the PPs have said really positive things. keep your chin up! i know it's scary, but try to stay positive

Stay positive!
