I feel pretty lucky that I will have 12 weeks of paid maternity and that SO will have the same of paid paternity I wish it was a gift that all parents could enjoy.

As for it falling on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Years- for that I thank SO hehehe

We are the luckiest bunch of mommies arent we?

Yuk. I don't get paid either. We have to use up all our PTO and then we accumulate "extended illness bank" and you have the be there for 5 years to accumulate 6 weeks of time off for illness/birth. I only have 3 weeks, but OH and KY law states that up to 12 weeks must be granted if the employee wishes. So it looks like the maternity leave will mostly be unpaid.
