I keep reading conflicting reports. Do you know if it is safe? What other tea can I drink instead?

Hey there. I'm not in this DDC, but saw no one had replied so I thought I would.

Chamomile is NOT safe during pregnancy. It is a uterine stimulant and can cause contractions/cramping/miscarriage. Be careful about any herbs you take!!

I think peppermint tea is safe - it was recommended to me for nausea. I know green tea is of course not safe... not sure about the other herbal teas - I'm interested in the responses as well.

I drink fruit teas. All that they are is dried up fruit so there's nothing in there to harm the baby [be sure to avoid raspberry though]. No caffine either so they've been doing the trick for me!

I'm glad you posted this. I have been avoiding tea until my next appointment so I could ask (don't know why I didn't think to ask here.)

Okay, now I am exremely worried. Up until the day before yesterday, I had been drinking it. Since nothing happened, and I have since stopped, do you think I'm okay?

ETA: Thanks for stopping in to reply.

I am sure that if you haven't felt any cramping you are ok. I wouldn't worry about it but stick to fruit or decaf black tea from now on.
