My ob office just called because I need another ultrasound April 28th. They said baby is fine, but she is really big for where I am at. Measuring 28 weeks and she is well over a pound. I know that the ultrasound can be off by acouple weeks but 8 weeks?????

I guess we will see how big she is next ultrasound.

I know that its not because my due date is wrong because they did a early ultrasound at 7 weeks to give me a due date, so who knows.

Mine was over a pound at my 22 week appt. and was only measuring a week ahead.

Hope all is well. It sounds like the tech probably goofed measuring things or writing things down. If it were measuring 28 weeks, it should be 2.5lbs and something like 16in. long.

I really hope so, but the doctor even came in and did measurements too, so who knows.

If you had an early u/s for dating I would push the issue of not changing your due date. Bumping it by that much wouldn't be good. The Dr would think you were way overdue, when in actuallity you may not have even hit your EDD.

Well tummy measurements are different from actual measurements of the baby.. So keep that in mind!

I'm sure your little one is growing perfectly, just some goof ups on the US.

Wait is the baby measuring 28 weeks from the U/S or is your tummy measuring 28 weeks?

Tummy measurements can be waaaaay off, and with a dating U/S in the beginning I would say that the tech messed up.

Keep us updated!!
