Still undecided. At my first appt the nurse was absolutely against it and said since the hospital was so small they wouldn't offer it unless I came in between the hours of 7:30am and 5pm. They have to have all surgical staff, ped, and ob on hand in case you need surgery. Well when I talked to my doctor she said she would support me in anything and if I wanted to try for a VBAC then they couldn't "force" me to have surgery. I'm still really undecided because I went through all the labor and even through a lot of pushing last time and just couldn't get her out! I felt like I was recovering from 2 different things! I don't want that to happen again...so still thinking everything through.
I was hoping to but apparently they don't give you the option in New Jersey
A close friend of mine is pregnant right now (we live in NJ too) and she is going for a VBAC. Not all hospitals will do it and not all Drs will do it (that's the same anywhere though). They told her she should be able to have one no problem. She'll be at a hospital in Vineland. I'm not sure where you are in NJ.
I am bout 45 minutes from vineland... thanks for the heads up. I am going to be delivering at the new womens-babies center bout 20minutes from my home, i've heard great things bout it although i could do without this dr i am seeing.

I wish I was but unfortunately I don't have an option. I had an emergency c-section with DD and she got stuck so they had to make a vertical uterine incision on me and so it is too dangerous to try for a VBAC. In fact, my OB doesn't even want me in labor at all so he is taking the baby around 36 or 37 weeks. he will do an amnio first to make sure the baby is mature, of course.
Anyway, I wish all of you the best of luck! I had a vaginal delivery with DS and much preferred it!
