Hi ladies...since yesterday, I've been having a slight bruised feeling to the right side of my belly button. It feels like a bruise on the inside and I only feel it when I bend over or turn a certain way. It's not a sharp pain or anything and I've had no cramps or bleeding...

...I called the triage nurse at my OB's office and she thought it might be stretching going on since I'm almost 13 weeks...but my question is, wouldn't stretching happen more below my belly button around my pelvis area instead of to the side of my belly button??

Any experiences with this??

my first thought was stretching too. I'd say youre A-ok as long as there isn't cramping or bleeding. Is it all the time, does it only happen when you are doing something in particular? My other thought was hernia, but thats pretty far out there. If it gets worse, or you have any new symptoms, call your doc back and let them know.

I had pains like that with DS and it seemed to have been stretching. You'll be surprised at what areas will stretch and start to hurt sometimes.

Thanks for the responses ladies...it only seems to hurt if I bend over in a certain way or if I push on it ...but it's a bruised feeling, not like sharp pains or anything.

I will definitely get it checked out if anything changes or the pain becomes worse or constant.

I was gonna say stretching too.... everything is started to move as your uterus grows it starts to move everything up and out so everything starts to stretch.

the stretching. Your baby may still be below your belly button but as the uterus grows all the organs that used to be there are getting pushed up. It could make things a little tender.

It's probably stretching. I had it with my twins, and I've had it some in the last week as well.

Thanks ladies for the responses! Unless the bruised feeling gets worse...I'll just chalk it up to stretching
