Yeah that is how i feel. 1 i think it is a boy so i dont think there should be a problem but if they tell me its a girl i dont think i will believe it till i see it again at my 20 week scan. Either way im going to atleast try
Well, I had mine done at 15 weeks but the cord was between the legs so the only way she could tell was this white line where the pelvic bone is...needless to say SHE said she is almost positive but after talking to her and stating my concern we are going to get another one next Wednesday to verify - I will be 17 weeks then. My md is also going to hopefully do one tomorrow so that will hopefully add to my reassurance.
Needless to say I have bought a TON of clothes already but have receipts so if it does turn out to be a boy I will just return the BEAUTIFUL clothes...
It doesn't hurt to give it a try and see what they say. Like others said if it's a boy it's a pretty safe bet that they're right. If they say girl it's a little more iffy at that stage. I've never had one done that early so I don't have any personal stories to reassure you.
The U/S tech said she was 98% positive it was a girl, even with the cord between the legs. She used the 3-D and 4-D. I feel confident that its a girl, but I'm going to have another ultrasound on May 18, so that will be the confirmation. We have told everyone its a girl.
I haven't had a gender scan with this one yet but I had a early ultrasound at about 16 weeks with dd and they said it was a girl then. I felt a little uneasy about it but had many future scans later in the pregnancy (due to complications) and all the techs said girl...and now she is three! So, it was accurate at 16 weeks!
The tech volunteerily told me I was having a boy at 12 weeks. I'm sure its a boy but heard alot from other people not to put much into it. I had an appt Tuesday and told the doctor the tech though it was a boy. She said if she said she thought it was then it more than likely was. That tech is the only one in 60 miles from here to do those u/s's and she's been doing it for years. She wouldn't have said anything if she didn't feel sure. And thats usually true, they aren't going to say if they can't tell. So i'm sure its a boy but I'll know for sure in June.
