I *just* made the appointment. For 3-4 weeks now, whenever I do my weekly doppler listen, I have been hearing two heartbeats. I would always find it up high but one day I felt movement down low on the other side so I moved the doppler to that exact spot and I could hear the heart beat there, too.
I had an u/s at 6 and 7 weeks and both showed one baby so I just assumed it was an echo.
Today I was listeneing and there was a VERY distinct difference in the rates. 120 vs. 150
For most of the afternoon I tried to convince myself that it was just baby moving around and fluctuating the heart rate. I will be shocked if there is two and if had never heard the heart beat in two different spots I wouldn't be thinking anything of it. Well, other than the fact that I look 30 weeks pg.
My last Drs appointment was about 3 weeks ago and he found it down low, right by my pubic bone. I was surprised because I always find it on the other side up next to my belly button. (it is above my belly button now)
I have my 20 week u/s on the 15th and figured I could just wait or ask my Dr next week at my next appointment but it got the best of me and I called and made an appointment for 1:30 tomorrow. Then I called dh and told him we are going. LOL!
Like I said, I will be shocked if there is two but it will surely explain a lot (increased symptoms that are far worse than any other pregnancy of mine and my size)
If not, I guess I just have a ton of fluid (not unusual for me) and it is making for an awesome range for sound waves to travel. LOL!
DS-19, DD-16, DD-13, DD-11, DS-9, DD-6, DS-6, DD-5, and DD-2,
Oh boy.... sound slike one might have been hiding. At my last u/s the Dr checked for a hiding 2nd because I'm measuring so big. She said at 8 weeks, one can hide very easily, so don't be too surprised if they find a 2nd.
Good luck and now I can't wait to hear!!
