I am so excited I just got back from the hospital. I had to do pre-admin testing for my c-section next Friday. I was talking to the staff at the hospital and they are going to allow my husband and my mom in the OR for the delivery. They have always just said one person but with this baby being my last (maybe) I want my mom to experience one of my baby's births but I can not tell my husband that he can not be in the room when his baby is being born. The doctor who is doing the delivery said that it was also ok. I feel like I am on top of the world and both people that I wouldn't want to miss it the birth of my baby are going to be able to be there.

That is awesome.

It means alot to have your mom and husband there. I delivered serena with both in the room (vaginal) and I delivered Xander with just hubby. My sister was on her way but missed it.

I have to say both ways were nice. The first time it was nice having mom there. And this last time and since it might be our last time it was kind of nice just to experience it with my hubby. I originally wanted mom there but it was easter monday and no school for most of her babysitting kids....so she had a full house. She couldn't call-in and leave all those parents in a bind. She also had serena for me which turned out to be for the best since Xander went to NICU. it was nice for her to be with my mom who could handle all those whys and what ifs that went through her head.

I am glad you get to experience your final birth the way you want to experience it. its always nice when the staff works with you.

Thats amazing!!! i wish i had my mom in the OR with me too... i had DF which was nice but i always wanted my mom to be with me when i delivered.. i should have asked them! haha
