I went to the doctor's today. I gained 4 pounds in the last two weeks. At this point, I don't care though I probably should. My BP was good (about 110/64). I measured 37 weeks. The heart rate was good. My doctor did the strep b test - no problem. She did a quick sonogram to make sure the head was down, which I knew it was and it was. It was actually quite low. She also checked me. I was checked about a month ago because of the pressure I was feeling. I was 1 cm dialated and long and thick at that point. Today, I was 4 cm dialated and 50% effaced. My doctor thinks I will deliver around 38 weeks if she were to make a guess. She told me that my labor will probably go quick. If my water breaks and I am contracting before going to the hospital, she thinks I will be 7cm once at the hospital. Though my DH and I guessed how dialated and effaced I would be and we were both about right, I am still freaking out right now. DH, on the other hand, is excitied. I don't feel ready though I don't know if I ever will be. There are a few things that HAVE to be done before the baby arrives, like decide on a name.
