How many of you have tried prevacid for your baby's AR and extreme spitting up? We were prescribed this a few weeks ago for Lilly and she is still spitting up ALOT. The prevacid we were given is the kind that dissolves under the tongue. REALLY fun to try to do in a 4 month old.

Do you have any suggestions to get her to take it instead of under the tongue?
Is it supposed to start working right away, we have waited 2 wks now.
Have you found any kind of infant formula that seems to help this as well? We are currently giving her Enfamil AR.

I want my baby's tummy to be better, any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the advice!

Kaidee was on prevacid. We had the same solutabs. We put in in her cheek and gave her a bottle. I know with our doc..she said if it didn't seem like it was working to give her half dose in the morning and the other half at night, so she always has a bit in her system. We had to put Kaidee on soy formula...her reflux was the worse of any of my babies. I think she has finally outgrown it, and we are not giving the prevacid anymore, and she seems to be tolerating it well. Gl I hope you find something that works soon, its tough to have a baby with an upset tummy and nothing you can do.

Kingston was on Axid for 3 months. Fortunately his AR subsided and we were able to discontinue the meds. I hope things get better with your LO's AR.

Luke is on Prevacid and Zantac and still spits up quite a bit. Its not as bad as it was before the meds, but still more than what I think is normal. We go back in two weeks for a weight check (we went this morning for an appt); if his weight gain isnt great, we will discuss more options then...........
