This is just a reminder to everyone to install your car seat correctly! I had my first installed at the fire station and I was surprised at how much went in to it than I thought. And, they want that sucker tight! I mean, you should not be able to wiggle it if you try hard. It takes 2 people I think. One to step it in, the other to climb on top and press their knee in it using their body weight and pressing their head against the ceiling.

8 Common Car Seat Mistakes

Here is some idiot's version of an installed car seat... found in my parking lot at work!

Nice! Ours comes w/those metal hooks on inside of the seats / bottom of seat and our car base snaps to those. All new cars have those hooks installed for safety for baby seats. So we are good to go!

Ah yeah, the LATCH system. I miss the LATCH systems ... Japan doesn't have it in their vehicles. I can't wait a semi-new pretty American made car.

I keep telling DH it will be harder than it looks but he's a typical man and isn't sweating it. Maybe we should install it this weekend and get it inspected.

I have been asking for the past few weeks to have the car seat installed. Looks like I will be doing it myself. Not surprised since he is in denial that she will be here in less than 2 weeks! I put the swing together the other day and got the changing table done today. If I wait on him, nothing will get done before her arrival!

Yeah DH keep arguing about this. He thinks we should just wait for her to get here and he'll come home and grab one of the carseats (we have 2 one for each vehicle) and wham bam it will all be installed and we'll be one big happy family... he's in for a rude awakening i think

Mine came with us unhooked in the car on the drive to the hospital, we walked down with baby and then he installed it as we waited.
