Tonight is my big U/S! Yay!!!! I'm also 20 weeks today so I'm halfway done! Double yay!!!

Well of course they told me to drink 32 freaking ounces of water which we all know is not pleasant.

I have a hard time drinking that much water because water makes me feel gaggy. It shouldn't matter if I drink water or something like Gatorade right? Even if I could do half and half that would be better. I'm pretty sure all that matters is that your bladder is full. I don't think it matters what's in it. Right?

It's not until 7:40 p.m EST. So I have to wait all stinking day! It's all I can think about today!

I drank Diet coke... as long as you have a full bladder, it doesn't matter. Water goes through me too fast, so I wanted something I could hold.

Yay for 20 weeks and the big u/s!!!

With my daughter they had me drink such an insane amount of water I was actually throwing water up. Then when I got there they told me they had accidentally given me the wrong instructions - I didn't need to have a full bladder

This time I just drank three glasses of water about a half hour before my appt and my bladder was more than full. Just drink what you can.

Update us as soon as you can!

i drank one bottle of water about an hour before my 12 weeks appt. and that was more then enough. other than that i have a paper sent to me from the hospital saying that it should be water because of the way the ultrasound sends its waves through i guess. though everyon ehere seems to have done fine with other products. i would think keep it light fluids.... hope everything goes well.

Isnt that funny - my doc has never requested me to drink anything before my u/s's.
In fact, I've had to give them a urine sample before each, so my bladder's been fairly empty. I wonder what the difference is??

I think it depends on tech/doctor preferences (I think it makes it easier for them to examine cervix, etc) and also the technology of the machine they're using.
