So 4-5 months into my pregnancy with my son I find out my OBGYN is also expecting and she is due only a week or so after I am... well she gave birth at only 30weeks and decided she wanted to be a SAHM so at the end of my pregnancy I just got tossed around to every doctor in the practice which was just a mess cause I was always told different things from everyone no one seemed to be on the same page.
On top of that my sons pediatrician has decided to step down as a pediatrician for now to go into business school so I had to find him and Jordan a new pediatrician. I did that today and he happens to be my 1st OBGYNs husband.
So with this pregnancy I decided to go with the OBGYN who delivered my son, I'd also seen her a few times at the office and was pretty comfortable with her... WELL today I go in and she tells me shes leaving but "Not to worry cause EVERYONE in the office will take care of me".. lovely.. needless to say I got completely flustered by that and didnt ask her the questions I wanted to...
On the plus side of things Jordan's heartbeat was good and I gained a whole pound so I'm now up 4 pounds.
LOL! My doctor is also in a practice and I just made a new appt for a new dr. because they never seemed to be on the same page as well, DONTCHA HATE THAT??? It's unsettling to say the least. Good luck!

That really stinks. Are you in the type of situation where you've already paid your maternity coverage with insurance, so if you switched you'd have to repay? I know if I were to switch right now, even to someone in the same practice, that's what would happen to me... Therefore you'd be better off, financially speaking, to just let them toss you around. But at the same time that totally sucks and is so unfair! I can't image having to see someone different every time. Heck, in about a month I'm going to have to start going to see all of the different doctors at my practice once just so I can know their face. They do this just in case my doctor is out of town or busy and one of them has to deliver my baby... But at the same time I still don't want to do it! I want MY doctor.
