Drink water, put you feet up and think about something else. If they don't go away within an hour of doing that, call the doctor. I get them ALL the time after I've worked a long shift or had to stand still to do surgery. They go away within an hour of me drinking 1L of water and sitting down.

I get really bad cramps sometimes too - usually very low on my right side. They do usually go away within an hour of relaxing a little. I also noticed I would get them when I got stressed out or did too much. If relaxing for a while doesn't work, I'd call your doc - just to be on the safe side.

Cramping can be normal if you're overdoing it or not drinking enough water.
If you're not sure call your doctor.

Are they in any sort of pattern??

I agree with the drink lots of water and put your feet up!

Sometimes a hot shower will get them to stop too!

It could be just plain old gas pains too. I know those are not so pleasant.
