Warning to everyone. While pregnant make sure you wear sunscreen, even if your just outside for an hour or two. I'm from PA, and last week I went outside to watch my husband's ball game for two hours. My legs got so burnt that I had sun poisining in them. They were so red, swollen, and PAINFUL. I could not walk or do anything for six days. The weird thing is that I usually tan because I'm italian. However, I guess pregnancy makes everything more sensitive. So, make sure you wear sunscreen because that was the worse pain that I have ever had.

Ouch! Pregnancy can make your skin more sensitive for sure. Sitting out in the sun for 2 hours with no sunscreen though probably isn't a good idea whether you're pregnant or not.

LOL Impatiently waiting is apparently VERY grateful for the warning!

I hate when posts keep reposting! It happens to me all of the time.

Good warning for me since I'll be at the beach on vacation next week. Although I like to get a little sun, I'll probably be under an umbrella most of the time. While pregnant, I get much hotter than normal!

My two oldest boys had their baseball tourneys on Saturday which meant that we were at the ball field almost the entire day. My 7 year olds games were first and it is a play 'til you lose kinda deal...they won their first game, got a little over an hour break and had to play again. They lost in the second round, so we had a little more than an hour before my 10 year olds games started. His team won their first game, had to be back at the field an hour later (thankfully by this time, the sun had started setting though so it was much easier). They won their second game and get to play in the Championship on Tuesday night. We spent practically all day in the sun Saturday constantly reapplying sunscreen and I still got burned, but only a little bit. I can only imagine how bad I'd have gotten burned if I wasn't covered in sunscreen.

Thanks for the reminder. I tend to avoid the sun (very fair skin) but I need to be more diligent about applying sun screen when I am in it - especially when pregnant.

I hope you feel better!

wow that sounds horrible!!

I don't seem to have that issue, I was in the sun all weekend without sunblock and I didn't burn. Just got a nice tan now that I've said that, the next time I go out I will burn for sure! lol

Definitely thanks for the warning. We just picked up a maternity bathing suit yesterday and I'm planning to hit the pool next week. I was planning to wear sunscreen anyhow as I'm pale skinned but now I'll really make sure I have alot on.

I'm looking into getting organic sunscreen so I am not covered in chemicals. LOL!

Thank you so much for the tip!
