So we were lying around on a lazy sunday watching movies and I had my hand on my stomach...and for the first time I felt the baby kick my hand...on the left side of my belly button. He did it once but I thought it may have just been my imagination and then he did it again about 30 seconds later. I yelled at DF...HURRY COME HERE, he's all like huh what, and I say GET OVER HERE NOW!!!! LOL! I put his hand on my tummy and he's like "I feel it", I looked at him and said no you don't because I didn't feel anything and then THE BABY KICKED AGAIN!!! DF had the most excited look I've ever seen on his face....I said did you feel that and he nodded and just smiled from ear to ear!!!!
I can't believe i'm feeling him on the outside now. Probably because I have less "cushion" by my belly button...LOL! This makes it more and more real!
I love the look on their faces when they get to feel their child move for the first time. It makes it so much more real.
My favorite thing to do in late pregnancy is curl up in a spoon position with my belly against dh's back. By that time the kicks are quite strong and powerful and the baby will kick dh's back like crazy. hee hee.
