(I just typed this out then knocked something on the keyboard and it was lost )
Here goes again...
Monday after putting Jas down for her nap I went to the bathroom and noticed that I was bleeding. Not good when you're 23 weeks pregnant. I rested and it eased off. I was also getting plenty of movement and I knew that was a good thing. However it was still going a few hours later and so I called the midwife. She wanted me to go into L&D just to be on the safe side. I'm RH neg and she though that that may have been the cause of the bleeding.
We were there for hours. The dr couldn't see where the bleed was coming from and my cervix is nice and closed. The also took blood to check for antibodies that indicate if it was due to my blood type. Luckily they let us go home after having the blood taken as it was already hours past Jassie's bed time and we would have been there for at least another 2-3 hours.
We rang on Tusday morning to get the results, which as suspected, came back positive. So I had to go back in and get my anti-d shot early. Those things hurt.
I don't know if it was realted or not but I had also had my stomach knocked on Sunday by a big dog (my aunt refuses to put them outside when visitors arrive), its possible that that may have caused the bleed together with my blood type. Either way the bleeding has now stopped.
All I wanted this time was a nice, easy, stress free pregnancy. Here's to hoping it is from now on. On the upside when I went in to L&D my BP was lower than normal. Gotta take the good with the bad I guess.
I'm glad that you and baby are ok. I'm sure that must have been scary. I didn't know that being RH negative could cause bleeding this early on. I hope they keep a closer eye on things for you from now on.
