Due to the fact that my DH is missing an arm (due to an accident), I need a crib with a side rail that can be moved down. Most cribs now are the conversion kinds, which don't have that type of side. Does anyone know of a good quality crib like the one I need?

Thanks.

Ooooh...I like that one. I'll have to check out the safety ratings. Thank you so much!

We were looking at some with side rails that can be moved down, but i think it's kind of difficult to put down with only 1 hand. it may have just been that the floor models we were looking at were not put together well, or maybe just old.. :dunno:

we're having a hell of a time finding a crib as well because i'm pretty short and have a hard time reaching into a crib. even some of the ones with side rails that can be moved down are too tall!

I'll have to have DH go with me to see how the crib works. I am having a difficult time with the crib too. I found all the other furniture, but I don't like the crib that goes with the set.

Good luck on your crib search!

Well I have one that has the drop down rail and I love the crib but it just got freaking recalled so I have no advice. I'm so sad that it got recalled because I really do love it.

I know you wouldn't be able to do mine with only one hand. You have to push a spot at the bottom using your leg and then lift up on both ends and then drop it down. I think most are that way for safety reasons.

try pottery barn. we have the kendall crib and it's a convertible but it's a one-hand (and knee) push to lower the rail.
