Well we were going to try to get rid of our "beater" car but it looks like it's going to be staying with us for a while.
Monday I brought it in for a brake inspection, knowing that the brakes were bad. Sure enough, for anyone that knows about cars, the front brakes were at 35% and the back were at 20%. Needless to say at 15% you aren't to drive the car. It turns out that here it is up to you to find the parts. It makes NO sense, especially when they HAVE the resources to get you the parts. Luckily, we do have a European specs car. However, Italians take their time. I had to get a translater to contact the auto parts store on Monday and I am still waiting on word if they have my parts.
So yesterday (Tuesday) I had some running around to do. They told me that the brakes should be fine until Monday, which was when they could get me in next, assuming I had the parts. Sure enough driving home my brakes go out. Thank God I was at the stop sign before my house and no one was in front of me nor coming from either side of me because I coasted right through that stop sign. We had to get a friend to bring me back to base so that we could stay at a hotel room last night (Tuesday).
So today (Wednesday), I have to get a rental car, get a tow truck, get auto parts and pray that I can find someone at the Auto Skills Center to do my brakes since the Car Care Center can't get me in until Monday. This one episode is going to cost us about $1,200 after all is said and done with the rental, hotel, brake costs and labor...
To top things off, Geno is gone on a mission until Thursday so I've been dealing with this ALL myself. I haven't even been able to tell him since he's been unreachable by phone.
Oh and it's almost 4am and I've been up since 230a and can't sleep.
Ok, thanks for listening, my pity party is over...

Yikes!!! Good thing you were in a ok spot when your brakes went out. I hope the rest of your week gets better...
I had my first hormonal day yesterday - I was at work and around lunchtime, everything started making me go crazy - but I couldn't really pin-point why! I finally just left work and went home at 2:30, watched a movie, had a good cry and felt better.
